VMware Broadcom Merger – What Innovation to Outsource

 Keith Townsend is solo this week to discuss Broadcom’s proposed acquisition of VMware. VMware is in R&D and innovation in multi-cloud management. An area requiring massive investment. Broadcom is brilliant at getting the most for its shareholders out of its software investments. These two areas of capability don’t seem complementary. Keith suggests questions you should ask your Broadcom. Next, Keith addresses the more significant outsourcing multi-cloud/cross-cloud innovation to vendors vs. taking on these challenges in-house. Lastly, Keith addresses the regulatory concerns regarding the merger and if he believes it will close.
