July 18th, 2021

Today’s lunch spot. We “landed” the CTOA Flying Cloud in Galveston, TX for the week. Hoping to get regular order of business done this week.

July 19th, 2021 – First Entry

Keith: I brought my 16″ MBP, 3-year-old, 13″ Surface Book, and 11″ iPad Pro with me on CTOA Road Trip. By far, I use the 13″ Surface Book the most. Less power, better keyboard, and takes us less space on a cramped work surface. The iPad is redundant even for content consumption even with LTE.

July 19th, 2021 – Second Entry

We got around to hanging our U.S. map on the RV. We haven’t been everywhere, yet.

July 19th, 2021 – Third Entry

Took some time for an evening beach walk with the Mrs.

July 20th, 2021

We’ve got a good crowd is forming for the CTOA Road Trip Happy Hour in Austin next week. But if I’m being honest, I’d love to see more women and underrepresented folks register. Most of the women I reached out to aren’t comfortable meeting in person yet due to Covid-19.

July 22nd, 2021 – First Entry

What can the data community learn from the collaboration from the Tokyo Games? I discuss in this quick CTO Dose from Atlanta as part of the CTOA Road Trip. Sponsored by NetApp Visit them at https://ntap.com/cto-dg2.

July 22nd, 2021 – Second Entry

Keith: Got a good couple of miles interval running in on the beach.

July 23rd, 2021

Keith: Another smooth 5-miles on our last night on the gulf.

July 24th, 2021 – First Entry

Getting in a quick CTO Dose before we leave the gulf.

July 24th, 2021 – Second Entry

Keith: Also, you can’t be in the gulf and not have gumbo. A spot downtown Galveston. Little Daddy’s Gumbo Bar I’m a fan.
