When is Free Advisory Free? – Selecting a Data Center Provider
Recently, we selected QTS as a data center provider for the CTO Advisor Hybrid Infrastructure. We ran into a practical challenge of choosing a data center from the overwhelming number of options. Selecting a new data center CoLo isn’t an everyday activity Architects and CTO’s undertake. The obvious question is, where do you start? How do you identify the risks associated with selecting the wrong provider? Do you engage the likes of HPE, Accenture, or PwC select?
We used C3 Technology Advisors to help guide and introduce us to CoLo providers. An obvious question, how does a company like C3 make money if their advice to the consumer is free? Is this a free as in puppies or free as in social media platform?
