Independence

The CTO Advisor is owned by The Advisor Bench LLC, wholly owned by Keith and Melissa Townsend. It takes no direction from vendors on editorial content.

Sponsorship disclosure

Sponsored work is labeled as sponsored, on the article or episode itself, not buried in a footer. Every sponsored article carries a disclosure naming the sponsor. The site's content schema requires that disclosure before a sponsored item can publish.

Corrections

Material corrections are made in place and noted with an updated date. Historical articles keep their original publication dates and original language; they are not quietly rewritten to match current views.

AI use

Keith writes the arguments and the verdicts. AI assists with drafting, research, and this site's engineering. Nothing publishes without his review.

Formal assessments, scoring models, and lab findings live on Layer2C ↗, which documents its own methodology.
