[Music] hey how's it going it's Keith Townsend from the CTO of Weiser calm with a recap a tech field day 15 spent fifteen of these things already and sky port systems I think is a perfect example of why we mix the big vendors small vendors in these events or at least while us delegates like the mixture sky port systems smaller delegate but interesting solution it's very I was surprised at how opinionated the solution was the ideal is that cloud will eventually eat the data center well
does that mean that the data center will go away no means that services and the that we provide in the data center the control plane for those services will get moved out to the cloud and what's left in the data center is just the bits and pieces that have to be there because of geography regulatory issues etc very much in line I think what my overall thinking with what's gonna happen in the data centers so whatta sky ports role in all of this the the future
of the data center well sky port systems believes that the existing legacy approach to data centers is fundamentally broken and in order to improve it there needs to be a complete reset of the data center this cloud movement is opportunity to reset that conversation that means that sky port is going about it with a hyper-converged infrastructure solution that's specifically geared towards security and eliminating a lot of the inherent risk and the design of basic data centers it also means that they're going at it alone a
little bit while they have partnerships with the major brands such as Intel they're working with Google to integrate into Google compute for the most part they're tackling backup store all the ecosystem compute the hypervisor all on their own and building you know by biting off this really big chunk I see an advantage to Skyport and application-specific implementations so if you want a if you're deploying epic and you want a secure platform and wish to deploy epic on make sense or even s ap the use cases
