hey as it was cheap thousand from the CTO of Isaac on with today's CTO doats we're gonna talk NetApp data factory net up is presenting at plowed field day thirteen first week of April and they presented this concept of data fabric over the past couple of years to help differentiate themselves from traditional storage companies when you think of nap you think storage the the vendors of on tap and now they're acquisition of SolidFire and their HCI solution which I wrote the piece over on the CTO
advisor comm about their attempt to you know bring it to the HCI market and what that's about but more importantly this concept of data fabric and Netta insight Netta counted very hard whether it's on interviews that we did they get on the queue or the on the keynote presentations they found it hard this concept of a data fabric and I did that data has value now this is a tough transition for enterprise storage companies to make from the concept of someone that stores bits to someone
that extracts value out of data most of my DBA and data analytics friends look at net app and say you know what net really isn't a data company because they're not enabling the higher abstraction and expecting value out of the data but if you look at it from the attribute of enabling datum not just naming the zeros and ones to get from one site to another but in abling data to be extracted away from the physical underlay so whether that data exists in AWS on on
tab or Azure and Missouri NFS or inside of your Freiburg datacenter or even in some type of fog computing layer in which you're using net services to put data close to the cloud and it would have access that data at low legacies from both your private data center and large data center or I'm sorry public cloud datacenter Netta enables data analytics new applications that wouldn't been able to be created before I'm looking forward to the cloud field a presentation where they get the cloud experts really
