Kubernetes at Microsoft Ignite 2019 - Hot Take
Transcript
hey I was going to Steve's house are from the CTO advisory you know what you're gonna get a lot more of these quick hit videos from me the CTO of Iser team is traveling to five different conferences over the next two and a half weeks old to get out content do these quick videos they let me know what you think what am i learning about kubernetes so far well at Microsoft ignite 2019 really interesting to see how Microsoft is advertising kubernetes it's much more let me
back in solution versus a thing that's up in front of infrastructure folks and other infrastructure conferences such as VM as VM world I hear a lot more about kubernetes itself in poor days managing containers here at ignite it's much more about kubernetes supporting the CI CD pipeline process or your canary processes in general about deploying applications versus managing the infrastructure kubernetes is kind of this necessary thing I did a quick 20 you know deploying kubernetes applications to 20 minutes the presenter she literally spent maybe two
minutes on kubernetes and the rest was basically on CI CD pipeline itself and using Microsoft DevOps tools and just happens to be ployed appointed to kubernetes so my big takeaway from kubernetes is that you know what the ability to for it to disappear and the promise that one day it will disappear in the background holds a lot of promise the actual implementation and getting there today I'm not convinced that is that simple yet stay tuned as we go to shows like coop con etc though to
kind of unravel the mystery of kubernetes talk to you next CTO DOS
