hey how's it going as Keith Townsend from the CTO visor quick hit on reaction between hammer space presenting at South field day six and the ideal of extracting the data from the infrastructure basically this holy Grill of virtualizing data we want to be able to move data to where it needs to be for end users and developers and applications to use that data on any cloud it's the promise of hammer space extremely difficult technical problems there's a lot of vendors out there trying to create a
universal or global namespace and they run into all the associated problems with creating that namespace mainly without locking resource contentions etc beyond the technical problems have a space I suggest you've already look at the tech field a video once it's posted hammer space has a solid technical approach to that problem what I wanted to talk about is the more IT related the more business challenge of rolling out this type of solution one you need to change processes we have we struggled with getting DBAs to use
native tools inside of storage arrays to replicate databases to refresh databases etc changing user habits is extremely difficult so even if the solution does work and most of these solutions work at some level is user adoption that makes it a challenge just because you build a solution that solves the problem doesn't mean users will come so a lot of our conversation with hammer space was around that user adoption how do you ease customers into the hybrid cloud pretty difficult problem we'll talk more about that on
