CTO Advisor Dell EMC VxRail PoC Report
Transcript
>> Keith: Hey it's Keith Townsend, principle of the CTO Advisor. What's the value of a sponsored report? When a company like Dell Tech comes to the CTO Advisor and makes these six claims that we test in the report, what's the value to you, the reader? Why should you download the report? We're not going to tell you not to go out and buy Dell EMC HCI software. So why buy a report that's going to cheer lead for the solution. If that's the case that you're, if that's the use case or type of content you're thinking about you don't know the CTO Advisor brand very well.
Yeah. We're going to take vendors money to put their claims to the test but we're also going to be pretty true to the brand. You've saw me, or you've seen me challenge Dell EMC's claims around VxRail software. One of which is the challenge that I have to pay per professional services to deploy the solution. Dell has fixed that in the next version of VxRail software but this isn't about that. Is it also about the other announcement that they wanted me to share.
The ability to mix and match some components across clusters. These are all features we expect to find. We talk about the difficulty of why is this so hard? Like the San and VX rails been around for a long time. HCI has been around. We've done some amazing things with public cloud. Why is this so hard and why do we need to still buy solutions like this? That's what's in the report. That's why you should download the report.
Whether you buy VxRail or not, is it at case it's what value you get as a IT decision maker as an enterprise architect, as a CIO CTO what value do you get from the insights of us going through the exercise of deploying these platforms and relating them to the challenges that we're having in our own data center you can probably take another solution whether it's from Dell or a competitor and come to the same conclusions but the value of our research, whether it's sponsored or not is because we're protect practitioners.
We understand their problems And we understand value of these systems. This may not be your first time looking at VxRail. We just give you our perspective and our thoughts around the benefits of the platform from our years of experience. Collectively I think my team has over 50 years of IT experience that worked on this specific project. It's worth the download. We'll learn more about the CTO advisor on this project. You can visit us on the web. com4/Delltech where you can find a link to download the report or you can find videos leading up to the report.
Talk to you next CTO dose.
