hey how's it going Keith Townsend principal of the CTO advisor make sure I get that you get a full shot of the holiday sweater for the day AWS every day the big one today is Aurora DB this is the database that promises to give you MySQL and postgres compatibility without the limiting skill factors of the two databases this thing scales up to 64 terabytes of data this is the database you go to when you want an alternative to Oracle You're Building large applications the size of
amazon.com this is the one that Larry Ellison and Jeff Bezos went head to head with and uh were kind of at each other's throats in the media on moving away from the the challenges of amazon.com moving away from Oracle DB it is the big boy I'll end this by asking the question when you use a word DB versus something like RDS which is extremely similar in interfacing compatibility when you're building a database scale RDS scales to about six terabytes I believe and then oral DB to
