Concerns over VMware layoffs
I expected some FUD from VMware competitors as the long period between the announced of the acquisition of EMC by Dell and the close of the deal. EMC and VMware have added to the confusion by announcing a combination of Virtustream and VMware’s cloud operations. VMware’s shareholders were none too happy. VMware is now rumored to plan the layoff of up to 5% of their workforce. In this CTO Coffee Chat, I discuss my high-level concerns and how I’m approaching the relationship with VMware.
